Pecan Hill is located in Northeast Texas in the small town of Cookville, just east of Mt. Pleasant. We breed and raise registered Missouri FoxTrotter horses. Our goal is to breed for the best qualities in the breed – beauty, gentle disposition and smooth gait.

We breed the Southern Sunrise pedigree because his qualities – sweet disposition, beautiful palomino color and gait for trail or show ring -- are strongly inherited. We also have a Missouri FoxTrotter registered pony out of Southern Sunrise. We think she will be an excellent brood mare and throw not only the Southern Sunrise inherited traits, but produce smaller horses for children and ladies.

We breed the Flash’s DreamMaker pedigree for the homozygous black and white tobiano color and, of course, for the sweet disposition and smooth gait.

We breed the SunDust pedigree for sorrel beauty, natural gait and sweet disposition.

We have bred and sold Missouri FoxTrotters with other pedigrees and they are all excellent horses and their owners are totally happy with them. We are “fine tuning” our breeding program these days to get even better.
